IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debbie Diane
Knapp
June 10, 1967 – July 5, 2021
Debbie Knapp age 54, passed away peacefully at Butterworth Hospital surrounded by the love of her family on July 5, 2021. She was born June 10, 1967 and was the daughter of Ralph (Whitey) and Joyce (Storey) Harris.
Debbie grew up in Reed City and created a home there with her husband, Donnie Knapp. Debbie was devoted to her family. Watching her daughters, Ashley and Alicia, grow into accomplished young women filled her with a deep sense of pride. Debbie's grandchildren, Madelyn, Bailey and Emmett, were the light of her life and she cherished every moment with them. Debbie also loved, and enjoyed the company of her honorary grandchildren, Mari Sue and Brielle Autumn.
To all who knew Debbie, she was a kind, generous woman who was there to help when needed. She was known for never forgetting a birthday or an anniversary; and she always had a card in the mail with a warm greeting. The simple pleasures in life brought Debbie the most joy. She loved listening to the Bee Gees and watching Hallmark movies. She had a fondness for animals, especially her furry companion, Zoey. She enjoyed working in the yard, watching birds and taking care of her flowers. She took pride in her home and spent hours in the kitchen baking and creating delicious meals for her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her no bake cookies.
Debbie touched the lives and hearts of all who knew her, and there are no words to express the sadness and loss we feel at this time. Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce (Storey) Harris (1997). She is survived by her husband, Donald (Donnie) Knapp, daughter Ashley (Douglas) Green, of Harrison, daughter, Alicia Elliott and Todd VanNett, of Rothbury, granddaughter Madelyn, granddaughter Bailey, grandson, Emmett, and her father and stepmother, Ralph "Whitey" (Joann) Harris, of Jackson. Debbie will be deeply missed by her sister, Shelley Harris, of Grand Rapids, sister Kelley (David) VanAlstine, of Big Rapids, brother, Christopher (Denise) Harris, of Big Rapids, and brother, Scott Harris, of Reed City, mother-in-law, Betty Ruthruff, of LeRoy; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
