A Tribute to our Mother

A beautiful light has left this earth to brighten, and guide our paths.
A precious baby girl Dawn Marie Little was born December 4th 1956 in Coldwater, Mi to Elizabeth Ann Hart and Dane Charles Little. Her parents, along with her siblings Davie Charles Little(Ruthie) and Randy Little(Elaine) moved up to Standale, Michigan so Dane could start his career and legacy in the asphalt business at Reith Riley. Later on Dane and Liz built Littles Asphalt.
Dawn and her husband Lyman Bristol moved to Hastings, Michigan and had two awesome children. Ailea Tempest Bristol(James) and Patrick Dane Ramone Bristol(amazing Alicia). She was absolutely adored by her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Devin, River(Abbie), Raven, Austin, Odessa, Dominick(aka Dom Dom), Sapphire(aka Oogie Pockets) Nova, Addie, Autumn, Brooklyn, and Taylor. Often filling their pockets with chocolate. Grandma was known as Bad Ass.
On top of being a wonderful mother she inherited the work ethic of her father, and began working for Littles Asphalt to raise her children on her own. Her dad nick- named her Tar Baby. She adored her dad. They would watch boxing every Sunday. Her career for driving dump trucks continued as she worked for Superior Asphalt. She was loved by her co-workers and they were always greeted with a smile and a wave.
Mom was so loyal, fair, honest, helpful, caring, And loving. Mother to many. She always made you feel welcomed and Loved. Family is what drove her and completed her.
Mother's Day was always a family favorite. Rule was if you found a Morel you had to quack like a duck. Mother was queen of quaking.
Mom never judged, and always had open arms, and a love that taught us, mended us. She never stopped moving until cancer took the last year of her life. Still then she never complained. Many lives we learned she deeply touched.
She will be very missed by her whole family. Nieces and nephew. Great nieces and nephews. Jessica(Angelo), Weston, Ensley, Shawn, Tony, Maijia, Robbie, Jessica, Walter, Owen,Brianna, Molly, Echo, Tyler, and Terry. Her sister-in-laws Ruthie Little, Lesley Bristol and Margret Bristol.
Her step- children Abraham, Samantha, and Lyman the third.
She will be missed so deeply by her children and all her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. And alot of childhood friends. She loved to feed us all.
Mom is a damn good woman, and we are blessed to have learned to be a good person, work hard, and be happy. She loves you with her whole heart.
A song is dedicated to her late and beloved brother Davie "You are always on my mind" by Willie Nelson.
Another song for her hero, her father Dane. "What a wonderful world" Louis Armstrong
