Dawn Maria Koerts (Vernia), age 69, of Cotter, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024. She was born on January 12, 1955 in Plainwell, Michigan to Bruce and Shirley (Senese) Vernia.

Dawn was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She lived her life in service to others. She lived, most, for her children and grandchildren. She loved to take trips to Florida, scenic drives to see the elk in Arkansas, listen to music, tend to her garden, enjoy a bonfire, tell stories and laugh with friends. She was a member of Real Life Church.

She will be missed dearly by her sons Kevin Koerts (Katie) and Jesse Koerts (Alyssa); her grandchildren: Aubrey, Lucas, Caroline and Matthew Koerts; her mother: Shirley Fisher (Senese); her sisters: Debbie Johnson (Vernia) and Denise Allen (Vernia); along with many other family members and friends.

Dawn was preceded in death by her father Bruce Vernia and many special friends.

A memorial service will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Otsego Methodist Church, with Pastor Joe officiating.
