David West passed into the arms of his Lord and Saviour Monday morning, August 5, 2024 at home, following a lengthy battle with Metastatic colon cancer.  He was surrounded by his family and dear friends.

Born on September 6, 1957 to Ronald West and Leona West (Jansen), while his father was in the service in Frankfurt Germany.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Leona West, Father In Law Charles Mullins and Mother in Law Marcia Mullins.

Dave was survived by his loving wife Kimberly (Mullins) West, Sons Daniel Ray West (girlfriend Sarah Bresnahan), Tyler David West, Daughter Amy Lynn West, sisters Nancy (Bob) Kamps, Judy (Mike) Westrick, step children Heather (Jae) Lavelle, Leif Prosch-Jensen, his very special dog Sadie Rae, sister-in-laws Cindy (Eric) Stolt, Kathy (Doug) Rittenhouse several nephews, nieces and many amazing friends.

Dave was passionate about many things.  He enjoyed a time of raising birds and wood working, where he spent 20 years with Howard Miller Clocks.  He loved spending time grilling for family & friends, camping and going on some great vacations.

Dave was a great story teller, he was very passionate about sharing his faith in Jesus Christ, amongst friends, family, co-workers and patients he transported through his job at Care Resources. He was very involved with the Emmaus Community for several years, and continues to hold those relationships and friendships.

Dave will be dearly missed by his wife, kids, family and many great friends. We were blessed to have Gentiva Hospice care over the past 13 months and special nurse Jessica.

Please keep those he held dear in your thoughts and prayers.  In Lieu of flowers, it would be a blessing to the family to have end of life help with expenses. Donations for Kim West can be made through Pathway Church or given to her directly.

A memorial service will take place at Pathway Church (7250 Ransom St, Zeeland MI 49464) on Sunday August 18, 2024 at 3:30 with a hamburg & hot dog cookout immediately following.
