Obituary

On Sunday, June 13, 2021, David L Way, loving husband, father and friend, passed away at the age of 59. David was born January 12, 1962 in Muskegon MI. to Ronald and Barbara (Ulmer) Way. He served his country in the United States Airforce from 1980-84. On June 15, 1991. He married Catherine (Katie) VanderMolen, Way. Together they raised two daughters, Michele, and Morgan. David was known best for his quick wit, charismatic charm, charitable acts of kindness, and hunting next to his faithful labrador retrievers. He seemed to happen upon emergency events often. Always keeping a cool head and a calm nature he saved lives, whether it was car accidents or burning buildings. He always walked away before a news interview. As he helped people, not for the glory, but because it was the right thing to do. He will be missed by so many. David was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara ReVilla. He is survived by his father Ronald (Bonnie) Way, his wife Katie Way, his daughters Michele (Ryan) Gill, and Morgan Way, grandchildren Rylee, Emma, and Evie Gill, siblings,
Jeanne (Tino) Flores, and Stephen (Lori) Way, step siblings Thomas (Lynn) Goosen, Ted (Laurie) Goosen, and Charlene Goosen. And, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 24, 2021 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church at 1:30 PM rosary will said 30 minutes prior to service.
