SCHANER, DAVID ALLEN

David Allen Schaner, age 62, of Zeeland, Michigan, passed away on August 3, 2022, from a heart
attack.

David was born on September 23, 1959, in Grand Rapids, MI, to Richard and Bonnie F. (Elliott)
Schaner, both who preceded him in death.

David is survived by his wife, Beverly (Bev); his daughter, Chrystal Schaner Lobdell; his son,
David Eli (Marissa) Schaner; his sister, Bonnie Susan Zerrenner; his brother, Richard (Kathy)
Schaner; grandchildren, Bobby, Summer, Elliott, Rosie and Brendan along with brothers and
sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins; Uncle Russell Schaner; and Aunt Maxine Schaner.
David was a kind and devoted person deeply loved by his family. He was a fan and collector of
all things "Star Trek". David was employed with Michigan Fleet Equipment Company and then
with Herman Miller for many years before becoming disabled which forced him to retire at an
early age.

David was a proud man who faced many challenges during his life. His biggest challenge was
being diagnosed as bi-polar. He struggled with this illness for half of his adult life and fought a
tough battle against this mental illness until his passing.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of David's Life will take place at a later date.
