It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of David Robert Olsen, of Grand Rapids,
Michigan on Thursday, September 15th, at the age of 74. David will be lovingly remembered by his son
Mark (Beth); stepchildren Julie VanZee and David Tobin; grandchildren Taylor, Dylan, Jake, Kyle, Joshua,
and Nathan; brother-in-law Don Chorman; sister-in-law Mary Sherwood; nephews, Jeff (Tiffany), Tom
(Leslie), and Todd (Christy). David will also be dearly missed by countless friends much of whom he
considered part of his family.

David was predeceased by his loving wife of 25 years, Doretta; brother, Steve; and his parents: Robert
and Doris.

Although taken too early, David lived an interesting and full life. Not all roads were easy, but he was
always able to pull himself up and find the beauty in others. David loved to travel and visit new places.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and taking long walks along the Grand River at Riverside Park. David
had a strong devotion to his faith, an unassailable purpose and ability to help others. In this regard he
was a longstanding member of the 12 Step Fellowship where he found support and helped many do the
same. David had an infectious personality which many will treasure for years to come.

A Celebration of Life will take place November 5th at 2:00pm. Location of memorial is Bethlehem Church
located at 250 Commerce Ave SW Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
