David Joseph Prestin (1976-2023), formerly of Traverse City Michigan, was found deceased of an apparent heart attack, in his home on Monday, July 3, 2023. He was 47 years old.

David was the second youngest of six children and grew up on a family farm in Liberty Center, Ohio, and a lakeside home in Jackson, Michigan. He overcame early obstacles and setbacks to graduate from Jackson College, in Jackson, Michigan with honors in 2015 and became a Certified X-Ray Technician. David was a quiet, idealistic, and intelligent man with extensive computer knowledge. He enjoyed gaming and was a lifelong learner who worked on improving his technical skills in many areas. He cared about his family and made friends online as well. He was loved by his family and will be missed.

David is survived by his five siblings and their spouses and children: Liz (Jim) Uhlik and children, William (Bonnie) Prestin and children, Edward (Tracey) Prestin and children, Thomas (Nicole) Prestin and children, and Varian Wolf. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Elizabeth Prestin.

The family thanks first responders, law enforcement, the professionals of the medical examiner's offices, and Ofield Funeral Home staff who went out of their way to help us after David's passing.

David's surviving siblings will be gathering privately on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023. His celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time.
