Dave graduated from Hillsdale College with an Interior Design degree. He was a proud soldier in the Army. Dave was hired at Steelcase in 1972 to head their Interior Design department moving his family from the east side of the state to Grand Rapids. This was a great fit for his passion for design, space planning and sales. He spent a lot of time on the road which earned him the nickname "Air Maday". Dave made many great friends throughout the years and stayed connected with many including his FMC and Golf buddies.
A private service will be held for the immediate family followed by a military burial at Fort Custer in the Spring. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the AMAZING staff at The Oaks of Byron Center for their compassionate and loving care of Dave. Also, a special thanks to the Faith Hospice team for their great care as well.
Those wishing to express sympathy are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to their favorite charity or extend a random act of kindness.
