David A. Ebbens, age 74, of Walker, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025. Born on August 3, 1950 to Lambert and Dorothy (Huizenga) Ebbens. A proud Chicago native, Dave spent the majority of his life in the Chicagoland area before making Michigan his home. He loved woodworking, photography, and being outdoors. Dave was happiest when he was helping others and spent his life working in medical transportation. Throughout his career he worked at various Chicago area hospitals and then drove NEMT for private companies. In his retirement he was a longtime volunteer of Holland Hospital. Dave loved exploring, telling jokes, and hugging his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by: his beloved wife of 52 years, Judy (Spoelhof); his son, Joshua Ebbens of Walker, MI; and his daughter, Sandi (Jeff) Beute, of Raleigh, NC. Dave was a proud and loving grandfather to four cherished grandchildren: Ella, Allison, Weston, and Nelson Beute; loving brother to Sharon (Robert) Antoniuc, Marvin (Karen) Ebbens and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Dave will be at 11am on Wednesday July 30, 2025 at Fairway Christian Reformed Church, 1165 44th ST SW, Jenison MI 49428. Dave's family would like to express love and gratitude to his caretakers at Mission Point/Intersect Healthcare of Grandville and Quality Care Hospice of Michigan.
