03/16/49 - 12/09/18 Darlene Rae (Feist) Fitzpatrick made her peaceful transition on Sunday December 9 from her home in Belmont. Darlene was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many and they were around her at the end including her husband and constant companion of 49 years John Fitzpatrick, her daughter Autum (Dusty) Brown, Sons Brett (Amy) and Cory (Leah) Fitzpatrick, Sisters Sharon Sadler and Pamela (Bob) Gallina of Spring Lake, Grandchildren Clover and Lakelan Brown and Meadow Fitzpatrick. Darlene had a lifelong affinity for the Native American culture. She also held a deep appreciation and respect for the earth and all living things including her animals, birds and flowers. She simply cherished being out of doors doing the things she loved like gardening, camping and swimming. Darlene was a free spirit with a kind and loving nature. She would always greet you with her beautiful smile, which provided a window into her gentle soul. She was a fabulous cook who enjoyed spending time in her kitchen, cooking, canning and surprising her friends with gifts created with love. Darlene was a beautician by trade whose kitchen table, if it could speak, would tell the many secrets and stories of family and friends. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Darlene's life will be planned for the Spring/Summer, which was her favorite time of year.
