Doughty, Darlein Rose 4/2/1943 - 11/24/2018 Darlein Rose Doughty passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 24, 2018. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Dennis Anderson, Jr., with whom she had a special bond. Darlein is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, John Doughty. John and Darlein were high school sweethearts. They reunited later in life and had a beautiful wedding surrounded by their children and family and friends. Darlein was a strong woman who fiercely loved all of her children. She was resourceful, frugal, a beautiful dancer, smart, hardworking, a lover of animals, funny, independent, a good friend to all who ever knew her. She had found a special peace, sharing with John all the nature in their own backyard in Caledonia. She is survived by her children, Dennis Anderson, Sr. and Becki, Russ Anderson, Christine and Andre Marte, Cynthia and Larry Ross, John and Charmaine Doughty, and Carla and Dave Goron. Also, surviving are 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Per Darlein's request cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Casino Club of Grand Rapids, 3260 Salerno Drive NE, Grand Rapids, MI, 49525 from 3-6 pm.
