Darius Lamont Allen, age 27, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2026. He was born on August 4, 1999 in Grand Rapids, MI. He filled every day with adventure and an unwavering love for the people around him.

He was a graduate of Covenant House Academy and spent years surrounded by family and friends who loved him for exactly who he was - funny, generous, and always game for a good time.

Darius was a bright, kind-hearted soul whose laughter touched everyone he met. He spent years exploring his entrepreneurial side and giving up was never an option. Darius enjoyed birthdays, sporting events, and quality time with family.

He is survived by his mother, Tiffany Allen; his father and stepmother, Mario (Latoya) Palmer of Marietta, GA; great grandfather, Eugene Allen, Sr., affectionately known as Poppa, who brought endless joy and wisdom to his life; grandparents, Clarence and Dorrena Carder; sisters, Courtney, Me'Kyah, Marionna, Maleia, and Mya; brothers, Tyrelle, Mario, Martez, and Marlo; nephews Koby and Josiah; niece Malani; great aunt Cynthia Davidson; great uncle Eugene Allen, Jr.; and uncle Jamal Carder; plus a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and very close friends.

Reunited in heaven with his maternal great grandmother, Dorothy Allen; paternal grandmother, Linda Britt; Kenneth (Big Daddy) Britt, and great aunt Connie Allen.

The service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026. Family hour will be at 11:00 am with the service immediately following at 12:00 pm at LifeQuest, located at 1050 Fisk Street SE, Grand Rapids MI 49507.

A repast will be held immediately following the service at Brookside Village Community Center, located at 3130 Slater Ave SE, Kentwood MI 49512.
