IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel Thomas
Tomko
July 30, 1953 – December 12, 2023
He passed from his adventurous earthly life to join with his beloved family members and friends who have preceded him. Trust me, that has to be one of the craziest family reunions you'll ever see.
Dan loved his family and friends more than anything in the world...accept a cold beer…or room temperature beer...or attending a weekend at the drag strip, and let's not forget a good football game.
He was born in Morristown, New Jersey, and later moved to West Michigan, following his family there. Early on, he made his living working in the boilers in New Jersey and as a brick layer. After moving to Michigan, he became a truck driver, doing what he loved best. He worked many years for Clark Transportation hauling multiple Broadway shows and vocal performers around from state to state. Lord knows he loved that job and hated it all at the same time.
He left us too early, but God had other plans for him.
He leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Linda Tomko, along with many beloved family members and friends. He also leaves behind Cyndy Westfield-Tomko, his other half...his partner in crime...his committed soulmate. (And they probably should have been committed. LOL)
Dan has requested to be cremated and have his ashes placed with loved ones and at various places that he loved to attend. So, in lieu of a memorial service, we ask that when the time comes and he crosses your mind...you lift up a can for (dangerous) DAN the man.
