IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel
Pintar
December 16, 1953 – December 28, 2023
Daniel Paul Pintar, born on December 16, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, peacefully departed this world on December 28, 2023. Danny, or Boone as he was affectionately known, spent most of his life in the metro-Detroit area, shaping the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. He was employed as a public transportation driver with SEMTA; he enjoyed the ride and the people he met. His infectious sense of humor and unmistakable laugh could light up any room, making even the mundane moments memorable.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Delphine Pintar, and his younger brother, Tommy. He is survived by his loving children, Eric (April) Pintar and Andrea (James) Brown, and cherished grandchildren, Aubrey Pintar, Eleanor Brown, and Adalynn Brown. Daniel is also survived by his sister, Suzanne (Juan) Correa, and his uncle, Don Pintar, who was like a brother to him growing up.
A dedicated family man, Daniel's love for his family knew no bounds. He found immense joy in spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be cherished for generations to come.
Daniel had a passion for life that extended beyond his family. He found excitement in going to the casino and the simple pleasure of dining out. He had a unique ability to find the lighter side of life. An avid sports enthusiast, he played hockey and football growing up and loved watching both the Red Wings and the Lions. He also enjoyed bowling; he was on several leagues and scored a 300 game during sanctioned league play in 1985. There wasn't a sport he wouldn't watch live or on TV! His love for competition also extended to game shows, with "Let's Make a Deal" and "The Price Is Right" being among his favorites. If you are heading out to the store; pick up a lottery ticket in his memory!
In remembering Daniel Paul Pintar, let us celebrate a life well-lived, a man deeply devoted to his family, and a soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. May his memory bring comfort and solace to those who knew and loved him.
A service and enternment to honor and remember Daniel's life will be held at Glen Eden Memorial Park at a future date.
