Daniel Irvin Larr, 88, passed away on June 25, 2024, in Byron Center, Michigan. Born on April 8, 1936, in Muskegon, Michigan, Daniel was known for his vibrant spirit and humorous nature.
Daniel dedicated 34 years of his career to Gordon Food Service, where he not only contributed significantly but also formed lasting friendships. His stories from those years brought much joy and laughter to his family and friends.
A true outdoorsman, Daniel's younger years were filled with fishing and hunting adventures. His love for travel and country music also painted the backdrop of many cherished family memories. Daniel's free-spirited and jovial personality will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son Kevin D. Larr and his wife Carol; grandson Jason Larr and his wife Kimberly and their son Lincoln; granddaughter Mallory Girodat and her husband Gavin and their daughter Mairin Belle; daughter Kristan Werderitch and her husband Keith, granddaughter Madelyn Werderitch. Daniel also leaves behind several nieces. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kathleen Petriga, brother James Larr, sister Rosemary Behman, and his parents James V. and Katherine Larr.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Daniel can be made to the American Heart Association. His legacy of laughter and love for life will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
