Daniel Lester Cook was born on March 4, 1951 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and passed away at home with family on September 22, 2026, in Cedar Springs, Michigan. 

Dan leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years Robin; two children Sheila (Chad) Nostrant, Brad (Terri) Cook; grandchildren Brandon (Andrea), Christopher, Casey (Makena), Brianna and Samantha Nostrant, Cody (Paige) Brummel, Shannon (Justin) Boitnott, Theresa (Drew) Lewis, Kylee Sykes, Allyson Cook; great-grandchildren Milania and Braxton Nostrant, Jameson Webb, Westyn Nostrant, Sophie, Noelle and Aedin Brummel; 2 brothers, a sister, nieces, nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Dan loved woodworking, fishing, and animals, as well as his family. He worked as a carpenter for most of his life. 

His family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on October 9, 2026 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at Cedar Springs American Legion Glen Hill Post 287, 91 N 1st Street, Cedar Springs, MI 49319.
