Daniel L. Ambroso of Portage passed away Friday morning, December 23, 2022. Dan was born in Battle Creek, MI on August 12, 1948 to Viola (Bond) Ambroso. He married his best friend Cynthia (Cindy) K. Bliss on May 12, 1990. This dynamic duo loved life! They loved traveling, cruising the Caribbean and playing cards. They enjoyed endless summers of swimming, horse shoe tournaments and epic 4th of July parties. Nothing slowed Dan down, not even Hodgkins Lymphoma back in 2002. He was always so proud to say he was a survivor. And although Dan's strength and determination helped him fight his cancer, it later would not be enough for his Cindy. He lost his partner in crime in February 2006.

After losing Cindy, Dan stayed the course and spent more time with friends and family. He enjoyed getting together with some of his closest friends with whom he worked with at WMU in the 70's. We are so thankful to have celebrated his 74th birthday this past August with a large family gathering.

Dan is survived by his children, Nathan Ambroso, Matthew Ambroso, Michael (Lindsey) Ambroso, Amy Hotchkiss (Scott Lawson) and Andrea (Jason) Dusik, (12) Grandchildren and (2) Great-Grandchildren. You will be greatly missed, but live on Party Dan! A celebration of life will be planned in the future.
