DaleAnn Brennan passed away July 12th, 2026 at the Wings Home in Allegan with her daughter, Holly at her side. 

The daughter of Irvin and Constance (Harrison) Brennan, DaleAnn was born September 17th, 1949 in Allegan, Michigan. She was a 1967 graduate of Allegan High School. After marrying Richard Houvener on January 5th, 1977 she helped run the Cheshire Center Store he owned. 

Later on, DaleAnn became a homemaker keeping an excellent house with a talent for decorating. DaleAnn also cared greatly for her appearance, always having her hair bow and pearls, being known by her granddaughter as “Glamma”. 

DaleAnn’s greatest accomplishment was being a mother to her 2 children pouring her faith, love, time, and devotion into them. She was known for her generosity and one to always lend a helping hand. DaleAnn was an encourager with gracious words and a listening ear. She was one of great faith who exhibited strength, dignity, and grace to the very end. 

Surviving is her daughter Holly (Bruce) Ives of Martin, her granddaughter Hannah (Nicholas) Dykstra. Siblings Margaret (Bruce) Cameron, William (Barbara) Brennan, Walter (Helyn) Brennan, along with several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Andrew, and a granddaughter Sierra Ives. 

On Sunday August 16th, a luncheon at 12:30p.m. will be followed by a celebration of life service at 2:00p.m. Bloomingdale Bible Church 210 N. Chestnut Street. Pastor Bruce Ives officiating.
