March 19, 2014 Dale Herbert Patterson age 79 (Rockford) passed away on March 18, 2014. Dale was born in Grand Rapids on July 17, 1934. He was a 1952 graduate of Catholic Central High School and served his country in the United States Navy. Dale retired from Rapistan after 42 years of service. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Thomas Patterson; grandson, Chase Jordan Vanderford; parents, Morris and Eleanor Patterson; and siblings, Terry Patterson and Julie DeKubber; Dale was provided exceptional care by his loving wife of 50 years, Margaret "Peggy" Patterson (Whitman). He is also survived by his children, Matthew Patterson, Melissa DiPonio (Bruce Osborn), Merrick (Nicole) Patterson, Damon (Andrea) Patterson, and Dorene (Todd) Boyer. Dale leaves behind 11 grandchildren, Victoria, Audrey, Derrick, Cullin, Dalen, Brady, Logan, Brendan, Nikolas, Trevor, and Kellen. Dale is also survived by siblings Peggy Patterson, Brian (Arlene) Patterson, Janice (Don) Charles, Denny (Nancy) Patterson, Greg DeKubber, and Steve (Sheri) Patterson. Family will greet visitors 1 hour before funeral services which will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 24, 2014 in Rockford at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 4865 Eleven Mile Rd., Fr.
