Mrs. C.E. Schoonheim, known to her friends as Connie, passed away peacefully on the evening of June 15, 2025 at Park Village Pines in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Connie was 95 years old. She immigrated with her late husband James Schoonheim from the Netherlands in the early 1960's. She was a long-time resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan where she worked and raised a large family. Connie was an avid reader and enjoyed tending to her flowers and plants. She also had a sweet tooth for chocolates. Connie is survived by six children including Lisa Fisher of Kalamazoo, Laura Andrea of Grand Rapids, Joyce Dambekaln of Pewaukee, WI, Kathleen Clapper of Roswell, GA, Martin Schoonheim of Ft. Meyers, FL and Jacqueline Schooonheim of Amsterdam, Netherlands. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Connie will be cremated in a closed family ceremony. Her children are grateful to Park Village Pines and  to Centrica Care Navigators for the fine hospice care she received in the last weeks of her life.
