Obituary

Constance (Connie) Eleanor (Campbell) Bauman, age 77, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Saint Mary's Hospital. She was born March 16, 1944 in Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Constance Campbell, and her beloved brother William Campbell. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years (October 14, 1989) Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Melvin Bauman; children Huck (Drue) Hackstedt, Chris (Katie) Hackstedt, Andy Bauman, Melissa Bauman, and the grandchildren who were her greatest pride Josh, Drew, Lorelai, Logan and Hope Cozie.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had the most generous spirit and will always be remembered for putting others first. She enjoyed baking, traveling, visiting with friends and neighbors, and was always up for a creative challenge. But her favorite moments were spent with her entire family gathered around the kitchen table eating one of her famous meals she spent all day preparing.

A memorial service will be held at Second Christian Reformed Church in Byron Center on Saturday, October 16, 2021. The family will greet friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm with the service beginning at 2:00pm. There will be coffee, visiting and fellowship to follow. Connie will be laid to rest at Cascade Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) in Connie's name. Service Details.
