April 11, 2014 Service: April 17, 2014 Clifford J "Pat" Murphy, passed away at home peacefully on April 11 surrounded by love at age 89. He was preceded in death by his parents Franklin and Vesta Murphy and sister Geraldine Duivan Plank. He was a graduate of South High School and University of Michigan Law School. He was a WWII veteran and a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association for over 50 years. He is survived by his four children, Blair (Lisa), Greg, Patty, Janice (Jeff) and five grandchildren, Katie, Meaghan (Scott), Aaron, Marissa and Riley. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, Bob, Pat, Debbie, Darcy, and David. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 17 at the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE in Kentwood, at 1PM with visitation an hour before. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in his honor would be appreciated.
