JOHNSON-OSWALD – Mrs. Cleora (Corky) M. Oswald, aged 81 passed away peacefully on
Saturday, May 18, 2024 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her son Rick
Davenport and her daughter Christine Trasky Oswald.

Corky was born on July 10, 1942 in Grand Rapids, MI. She was married to the love of her life,
John R. Oswald 3 weeks after they met, celebrating 64 years of marriage in July this year.

Surviving are her husband John Oswald and their children, Anthony Oswald, April Oswald and
husband Nick Cargill and Dan Trasky and her grandchildren, Sondra Davenport, Nick and
Lauren Trasky, Brandon and Camille, Chase and Ally and Zach Oswald, Piper Cargill, Olivia
Montenegro.  A memorial service will take place at 2pm on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood. Visitation will begin at 1pm. Donations may be made to
McKenzie's Animal Shelter in Odessa, Michigan.

Her Journey's Just Begun
Don't think of her as gone away
Her journey's just begun.
Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
From the sorrows and the tears.
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today.
How nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched…

and she was loved so much.
