Clarice Gail Christensen Moulder Loerop, 76, of Grand Rapids, died Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 5:26 AM. Formerly of Delray Beach, Florida, she moved to the Grand Rapids area in 2022.
She was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, to Ralph and Margie Christensen on August 13, 1950. She was adopted by Alfred and E. Pauline Moulder of New Market, Virginia, on March 1, 1961. She was preceded in death by her parents and biological siblings, Ruth Ann McPeak, Ralph Christensen, Jr., and Beverly Laubach. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, George and Michael Moulder. She is survived by herbiological sister, Joyce Altman of Spotsylvania, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Frederick Loerop, who died in 2020. She is survived by her two sons, Peter Loerop of Delray Beach, Florida, and Jonathan (Jessica) Loerop of Lowell, Michigan; and six grandchildren, Kayley Loerop of Knoxville, Tennessee; Jess (Shaun) Parker of Oviedo, Florida; Kyle Loerop of Delray Beach, Florida; and Nathan, Andrew, and Timothy Loerop of Lowell, Michigan.
Clarice loves her Savior, Jesus Christ, and, more importantly, He loves her (John 5:24). She was passionately devoted to her husband for 50 years. She demonstrated God's unconditional love to her two sons, her six grandchildren, her six siblings, her extended family, and offered kind conversation to every friend or stranger she spoke with.
She met her husband at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. She earned her Master of Accounting at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida and faithfully served as a CPA at the South Florida Water Management District for 20 years.
She enjoyed true crime novels, Glenn mangoes, and shopping. She was a principled and passionate patriot who loved America.
Interment will be at Boca Raton Cemetery, 451 SW 4th Ave., Boca Raton, Florida 33432, at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 11, 2026, in the Remembrance East, section G.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Cedar Church, 2025 Baldwin St., Jenison, Michigan 49428. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM.
