Cindy Lee Burhans, 60, of Wyoming passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 in her home. She was born November 9, 1957 in Big Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Charles N. and Verna (Parenteau) Burhans and graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1976. Cindy moved to the Wyoming area to be closer to her son, Shawn (Laura) Burhans and her three grandchildren, Kymburly, Scott and Bradyn Burhans. Cindy loved helping others in their time of need. Whether she had what you needed or not, she would do what she could. She loved painting ceramics, putting puzzles together, spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting blankets, dancing, street tennis, recording movies on VHS or DVD and making new friends. Surviving are her siblings, Betty Fox of Texas, Kathy (Richard) Little of Rodney, Judy Burhans of Big Rapids, Norman and Barb (Meyers) Burhans of Big Rapids, Charles and Heather (Ahrens) Burhans of Canadian Lakes, Sherry Blanchard of Big Rapids, Christine Blanchard of Big Rapids, and Vickey and Allen Lilly of Big Rapids; 20 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Verna Irene (Parenteau) Burhans Blanchard; her father, Charles Norman Burhans; step-father, Charles F Blanchard; sisters, Linda Sue Burhans and Sherrie Rose Helsten. The Memorial Service and Visitation for Cindy will be on Saturday, April 14 at Grace Fellowship Church (735 Buth Dr. NE, Comstock Park, 49321). Family visitation begins at 1:30 pm and the public visitation at 2:30 pm. The Memorial Service will be at 4:00 pm. A reception will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Fellowship Church in Cindy's name.
