Christine (Weeber) Seitz, age 83, of Grand Rapids, died at home on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, after a brief illness. Chris is survived by her faithful, loving, husband of 63 years, Lee Michael Seitz. Chris is also survived by her three children: Dr. Curtis (Susan) Seitz, Dr. Mitchell (Violeta) Seitz, and Jocelyn (Scott) Caycedo; and 10 grandchildren. Chris was one of 8 children born to John and Dalene Weeber. She is survived by her sisters: Elaine (Jack) Limbacher and Patricia Williams; as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.

Chris was born in Grand Rapids and graduated from Central High School before marrying her high school sweetheart, Lee Seitz. Lee, Chris, and their children lived in several states across the US before settling back home in Grand Rapids, where they made their life for the past 51 years.

Chris was an avid homemaker and gourmet cook. Chris made her family's home her priority and perfected the arts of decorating, cooking, knitting, sewing, entertaining, and many other hobbies and crafts. Chris also especially enjoyed being able to serve others outside the home as well with her time as a volunteer at Butterworth Hospital. Chris did it all with style and grace. She was known for her keen intellect, her beauty, and most of all her courage.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful, caring people at Corewell Health Hospice for their support.

Direct cremation has occurred.  A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508.  This celebration is open to all who knew and loved Chris and her family. Family kindly requests no flowers or donations.
