As a passionate volunteer, she served as a member of St. John's Guild, the Junior League of Grand Rapids, Gilda's Club, Immaculate Heart of Mary school and church committees, and Catholic Central. Chris embraced everyone she met as a friend, genuinely interested in them and their family. If there was a gathering, cause or friend in need, she was there, caring and sharing as a most gracious host. Sun goddess that she was, the beaches of Lake Michigan were a second home throughout her life. Visitation will be Thursday, February 20 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM in the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave. SE. Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 21 at 3 PM, at St. Robert of Newminster, 6477 Ada Dr SE, Ada, with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ele's Place, Gilda's Club or Faith Hospice.
