Cheryl Sue Helferich (Kuenzer), 73, of Arcadia, MI, passed away on October 4th, 2022 in Kentwood, MI.
Cheryl was born in Manistee to Clyde and Ada Kuenzer on October 22, 1948. She was a graduate of Bear Lake High School. She had many jobs through her life but her most enjoyable one was being a housewife and staying home to raise her two daughters. She continued to work throughout retirement, most recently at the Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club where she made many friends and kept everyone on their toes. When not working she spent her time travelling, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed volunteering with family at Toys for Tots and Kids Food Basket as well as collecting donations for the women's shelters in Michigan and Florida.
Cheryl will be greatly missed by her daughters, Minda Jones (Tim) of Bear Lake, Amanda Socher (Matt) of Kentwood. Her grandchildren Gabe Helferich of Arcadia, Marshall Kelley of Copemish, Kegan Socher of Kentwood, Kelsey Socher of Kentwood, her great grandson, Alex Kelley of Copemish, and her brother Rod Kuenzer of New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her husband, Brian Helferich, her sister, Connie Guerne, parents, Clyde and Ada Kuenzer, in-laws Harvey and Edith Helferich, and her grandson Alex Helferich.
In lieu of a funeral the family asks that you join them October 23, 2022 at The Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club in the Sunroom for a celebration of her life from 1:00 - 3:00. The family will be having a private memorial to spread her ashes with Brian's at a later time. Service Details. Visitation
