Cheryl Grace Delano

AGE 87, of Rockford, Michigan, passed away on 7/19/2022 in Rockford Michigan.

Cheryl was born in Grand Rapids Michigan to Wilma & Charles Delano on 4/24/1935. She went on to earn an associate's degree and was the first woman to become a Journeyman Mechanic for General Motors. She worked as a Supervisor and a Sewing Machine Mechanic for General Motors for 32.7 YEARS. She enjoyed horseback riding, motorcycling and in her later years, playing games with her friends on Pogo.

Cheryl is survived by her son Ivan Phillips, her brothers William and Robert Delano, her brother-in-law Paul Tate and his extended family, her 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews.

Cheryl's final resting place is at Resurrection Cemetery in Wyoming Michigan. Per her request there was no Funeral service. She was all about the celebration of life and hopes everyone will understand her final and last wishes.

Cheryl was a kind, wonderful, giving, caring, loving Daughter, Sister, Mom and Grandma and will forever live in our hearts.
