Charles Ricky Thrift of Holland, MI passed away May 21, 2023 at home with his daughter by his side. He was born to Marvin and Ruby Thrift on July 16, 1960 in Charleston, S.C.

Charles married Ruthann and together they had four children. He spent his life roaming the hills of West Virginia, serving time in the Army and settling in Detroit Michigan where he raised his family.  As a man of many skills, he worked for a termite company and spent a majority of his time in the pizza industry.  Charles enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping and doing karaoke with friends and family.

Charles is survived by his brothers Donald Thrift, Nelson Thrift and Charles Huffman; three of his children, Christopher Thrift & Melinda, Marvin Thrift & Amy, Rubyann Thrift & Nick; his grandchildren, Haley, Destinee, Ameliya, Yazmine, Camryn, Nathaniel, Zayden, McKennah, Scarlett and Emery Levee and two great-grandkids, Liam and Owen; and his adoptive son Timothy Boersen & Tammy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruthann and his son Charles Jr.
