Charles E. Murphy Jr. of Lakeview, Michigan passed away Sunday, January 7 surrounded by his family at the Corewell Health Heart Center.

Charles, otherwise known as Chuck or Chucky was born on January 22, 1952 to his parents Charles and Dorothy Murphy.  Charles was the second of 9 children and learned to be an extremely hard worker at a young age.  Along with those values being instilled in him, so was the value of loving hard and not being afraid to show it. Charles grew up to be a very strong and selfless husband and father. He loved his family with everything he had.

Charles is proceeded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy, his brothers Roger, Peter, and Eddie, mother and father in law Elmer and Dolores Hoaglund, and his brother in law Dennis Hoaglund. Surviving him are his loving wife of 51 years, Diane Murphy, of Lakeview, MI, children Jeremy (Jean) Murphy of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jennifer (Nick) Wagner of Grand Rapids, MI, Joanie (Lionel) Frayer of Mount Pleasant, MI, and Jill (Ralph) Nowack of Grand Rapids, MI. Charles also has 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren whom who loved with all his heart and was so proud of. Charles is also survived by his siblings Joe, Becky, JoAnn, Carol, and Michael and many nieces and nephews.

The family will doing a Celebration of Life for Charles at a later date and will share those details prior to.
