Obituary

It is with a profound sense of loss and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Mr. Charles Robert Lindemulder, on December 10, 2024, in Jenison, Michigan. Born on December 8, 1936, in Oak Park, Illinois, to the late Charles and Theresa Lindemulder, Chuck's journey through life was marked by his  kindness, his deep faith, and his love for his family.

Chuck's early life in Illinois laid the foundation for a future filled with achievement and purpose. His studious nature led him to pursue higher education, culminating in a Master's degree in engineering from New Mexico State University. His academic accomplishments were a springboard into a successful career as an engineer with AT&T/Lucent Technologies, where he was respected for his expertise and work ethic. Chuck's service to his country as an Army veteran was a testament to his patriotism and sense of duty.

Chuck was a devoted husband to his late wife of 59 years, Lois (VanDyke) Lindemulder, whose memory he cherished until his final days. After her passing on May 6, 2016, Chuck found companionship and love again with Janet Wiedenaar Lindemulder, with whom he shared two years of marriage and a family that included two stepsons, two stepdaughters and their families.

Chuck was a proud father to David Lindemulder (Tammy), Karen Bingle (Rich), and Gail Hansen (Troy). He took immense joy in his role as a grandfather to Mark Ryan (Sarah), Kirsten (Evan), Ashley (Josh), Amber (Micah), Alyssa, Trevor (Taylor Newhoff), and Sidney. His legacy continued to grow with the arrival of two great-grandsons. His brother William Lindemulder predeceased him, but the memories they shared remained a treasured part of his life's story.

Those who knew Chuck will remember him as a man of great generosity and thoughtfulness. His faith was the cornerstone of his existence, guiding him in his actions and interactions with others. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His was a life well-lived, full of purpose, kindness, and unwavering faith.

In keeping with the traditions of a life marked by faith and love, a memorial will be held on February 20, 2025 at Faith Community CRC Wyoming MI. There will be a time of visitation from 4-5 pm with a brief service from 5-5:30 pm to honor and celebrate Chuck's life.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Kelloggsville Public Schools Scholarship fund or Pioneer Bible Translators (attention: Tom and Michelle Kyle)
