Obituary

Charles Richard (Rick) Ginter, passed away, with his family gathered, on Wednesday, October 2, at the age of 68. Rick was born on November 13,1955 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Mary Ginter. Soon after his birth, his family moved to Indiana, where he attended Oak Hill High School, graduating with the Class of 1974. He married the love of his life, Darlene, on July 9, 1988 in Louisville Kentucky. They had shared 36 years together at Rick's passing.

As the family pit master, Rick will always be remembered for bringing people together to enjoy his hog roasts and barbeques.  Always a lover of muscle cars, Rick would astonish his family and friends by knowing the exact make, model, and year of every classic car he saw.  Later in life, he found joy in recalling old fishing tales and stories of his childhood days and visiting with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children: Katrina White of Wyoming, Jason (Danielle) White of Ravenna, Samantha (Tyler) Wojahn of Tawas City, and Jeremiah (Nicole) Ginter of Hastings. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many special friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
