Catherine Yvonne Martin, age 59, of Grand Rapids, MI passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017. She was born in Grand Rapids on May, 17th, 1958 to the late Barney Fryer and surviving mother Corena Webster of Howard City, MI. Cathy grew up in Wyoming, MI where she spent most of her adult life. She loved working as a maid for the America's Best Inn in Wyoming, MI. Cathy was known for her sensitive heart and loving demeanor. Anyone that knew her was touched by her. Her passion and delight were her family, especially her great nieces and nephews. Cathy was fortunate enough to get to spend much of her day to day with her great nieces and nephews playing and loving on them. They truly were her pride and joy. Her presence in their lives will be greatly missed. Also surviving are her sisters, Theresa Bowen of Wyoming/Howard City, MI, Chris Martin of Wyoming, MI and Elizabeth (Martin) Maher of Fort Collins, CO. Nephews, David Bowen of Wyoming, MI, Paul Stowie of Grand Rapids, MI and Logan Martin of Dorr, MI. Nieces, Lacie Martin of Wyoming, MI, Grace Maher of Fort Collins, CO and Natalie Maher of Fort Collins, CO. She also leaves behind numerous loving great nieces and nephews, (Sydney, Trent, Devin, Ava, Sophia, Lucy, Nova, Maxx and Harper, Genesis and Robert). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. There will be a celebration of her life on Sunday, September 3rd from 1pm to 5pm at the Indian Lake Pavilion in Howard City, MI.
