GREEN, Catherine Ann, age 72, of Plainwell, Michigan passed away peacefully after a brief battle with Covid, on November 15, 2020. "Alis Volat Propriis - She flies with her own wings."

Cathy was born to Frank and Florence (Orth) Reyers on August 6, 1948 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was raised in the Forest Hills area and was a proud graduate of "FHC". She spent her early working years in the clerical field starting in typesetting, then working as a legal secretary, later choosing to work from home as a seamstress in order to be able to dedicate her time caring for her family and home.

Catherine enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. She spent several years shuffling her children to and from school activities, kept up a summer cottage for her family, cared for her aging parents and embraced the births of her 9 grandchildren. She was always there to take care of anyone who needed her.

Catherine possessed an extraordinary gift of infusing beauty into everything she touched. She had a well kept, comfortable home full of cherished memories, tended to immaculate gardens blooming with beauty and herbs, she took an interest in koi ponds and kept 3 water features for many many years. Cathy shared her talents by turning the homes of family, friends and clients into show places by creating beautifully patterned bedding, pillows, curtains, unique wood & upholstered furniture pieces.

Cathy is forever missed by John, her loving husband of 44 years; daughter, Heather (Tony) Piotrowski; son, Jason (Neyla) Hill; son, John (Jodi) Green; daughter, Leslie Pant; 9 grandchildren, Jacob, Colton, Zachary, Jayce, Jordyn, Angelina, Sophia, Sarah & Katie; 3 great-grandchildren; extended family, many friends and faithful pet, D.O.G.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Her family is having a private memorial service due to the current social limitations in place. Catherine's family wishes to express their deepest gratitude & appreciation for the doctors & nurses at Borgess Hospital, CI8, for their compassionate care & support during this difficult time.

Cathy enjoyed taking care of others, in lieu of flowers, her family suggests everyone partake in Random Acts of Kindness, do something to bring joy to someone else in memory of Cathy & expect nothing in return.
