IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carole Ann
Stoutjesdyk
February 1, 1935 – August 8, 2018
Carole Stoutjesdyk left this world and now joins her beloved husband and travel partner Ray. They are surely reunited and joyful, the powerful bond they shared throughout their lifetime connects them again. Ray and Carole were quite adventurous, traveling across the United States and Canada in their Cavalier and sharing great and funny stories about their explorations, memories, and friends made on their many road trips. Their eyes would light up as they pulled out the roadmaps they used and talked about the routes they took, unique and special scenery, quaint little towns, the best place to get a burger or fried fish, and some of the characters they would meet on the road. Carole is survived by Andy (Sharon) Stoutjesdyk, Sally (John) Roelofs, Joan (Dan) Silverthorne, Marcia Stoutjesdyk (John Kennedy), Mary Stoutjesdyk, and Barbara Stoutjesdyk (Ramon Madrigal), 12 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, and many dear friends that she made in her life. Carole was an avid reader throughout her life and instilled it in her children. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Grand Rapids Public Library Foundation (https://grplfoundation.org). A life celebration open house will be held with the family on August 18 from 1:30pm to 3:00pm at Lucy's Café-Aisle Nine, 1747 Plainfield NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505.
