IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol
Dushane
April 9, 1945 – May 18, 2025
Mrs. Carol DuShane, born April 9, 1945, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, in Wyoming, Michigan. Carol leaves behind three children—Richard, Mary, and Christine—as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved her deeply and remained by her side until her final moments. She was married to the love of her life, Jim, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. Together they built a strong foundation and a life centered around family. A resilient woman, Carol triumphed over cancer three times, bravely facing breast, kidney, and bladder cancer. Her strength was matched by her warmth and joy for life. She especially loved baking and experimenting with new recipes alongside her great-granddaughters. Holidays held a special place in her heart—times when family gathered in her home to share cherished traditions and create new memories. Carol's presence brought joy to those around her. Her silly stories and sweet voice singing with a country twang will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She was admired not only for her strength but also for the kindness and love she gave so freely. A celebration of Carol's life will be held at her home on Saturday, May 31, at 2:00 p.m. All who wish to honor her memory are welcome to join in remembering the beautiful life she lived. Though our hearts were not ready to say goodbye, we find comfort in the legacy she leaves behind. May her memory bring peace to all who knew and loved her.
