Carlos Fernando Esteves Jr, 51, of Holland, Michigan unexpectedly passed away on July 9, 2026, in Mecosta, MI. Born on August 18, 1974 in Holland, Michigan to Carlos Alberto Esteves and Fernanda Fatima Esteves.
Carlos was a man of exceptional warmth, humor, and dedication. He was remarkably hardworking, always willing to lend a helping hand, and possessed a rare gift for making people laugh. He truly shined a bright, unforgettable light onto this earthly world. A natural problem-solver with a brilliant mechanical mind, Carlos could fix absolutely anything—from complex car engines and handyman jobs around the house, to even his beloved cat, Louie.
Carlos’ greatest joy was found in the people and places he loved most. His favorite moments were spent surrounded by family and friends on his pontoon boat at his cottage in Mecosta, Michigan. His infectious personality, natural charisma, and generous spirit touched everyone who crossed his path, leaving an indelible mark on countless hearts. He lived life fully, bringing energy and joy into every room he entered.
Deeply rooted in his faith, Carlos walked through life with a compassionate heart guided by his love for God. He faced the world with grace, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to serving others. While his presence will be profoundly missed, his family takes comfort in knowing that his earthly journey is complete. He is now resting peacefully in the eternal embrace of our Lord and Savior, reunited once more in his mother's loving arms.
Carlos is survived by his father Carlos Alberto Esteves; His daughters, Shaelyn Esteves, Adriana Pestrue and son in-law Cade Pestrue, and Camila Ybarra; Siblings, Margarida Esteves, Sandra Hankiewicz, Fatima Morales, Fernando Esteves, and Ana Esteves; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and dear friend's. He was preceded in death by his mother, Fernanda Fatima Esteves.
A private celebration of Life for Carlos and Fernanda Esteves will be held at a later date.
