October 24, 2013 Carl H. Neuendorf Sr., age 99, of Grand Rapids, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013. Surviving are his four children, son, Carl Jr. and wife, Wathada, daughters, Janet Plumadore of Toledo, OH, Betty Finn of Hasting, son, Jerry and wife Pam of Jackson, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister, Nancy and husband Bob Thorely of Oregon. Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, sister and brothers, Betty Gwinn, Harry J. Neuendorf and Wayne Neuendorf. Mr. Neuendorf was a partner in establishing Autocast, a Die Casting Company and Allied Finishing, a Plating Company and was active in several business associations being the second chairman of the Society of Die Cast Engineers of Western Michigan during his working years. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 28th at 11:00am in St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1800 44th St. SE with visitation 10-11am before the service. The family will meet with friends Sunday 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave. SE.
