Carl C. Lapekas Jr., age 73, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, in Bloomingdale, Michigan.

He was born in Gobles, Michigan, on October 17, 1950, to Carl C Lapekas Sr., and Shirley Maywood.  He attended Paw Paw High School, where he graduated in 1968.

He retired from Checker Motors.  He loved fishing, cooking, and tinkering out in his barn.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family.  Sunday was his day to NASCAR.  He always had a smile on his face.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Taralyn Sperry; and nephew, Blaine N.

He is survived by brothers: Ken (Dee) and Rob (Tracy) Sperry; sister, Doris (Ed) Burr; daughter, Alicia Lapekas; son, Kevin Lapekas; stepson, Jamie Sluess; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
