April 7, 2015 Carl R. Garrison, 87 of White Pigeon passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at his home. Carl was the third born child of George (Ray) and Iva (Louden) Garrison of Vicksburg and lived in the Vicksburg, Fulton area for most of his life. He was born April 10, 1927 in Decatur, Michigan. In November of 1948 he met and married Mary Ault of Vicksburg and to this union came four daughters. LaVonne (Larry) Hiles of White Pigeon, Kathryn (Gene) Rasmussen of Stanton, Michigan, Karen (James) Ramer of Minot, North Dakota and Julia (Regi) Bolden of Kalamazoo. Carl retired from Post Cereal in Battle Creek in 1980 and never quit working. He was always building, planting or just puttering around his shed but he kept busy. Carl and Mary moved to White Pigeon in 2009 where they resided until her death in April of 2014 and his passing one year later. Carl is survived by three sisters, Merna Hargus of Missouri, Velma Homan of Battle Creek, MI and Ellen Minnis of Union City, MI; two sister in laws, Betty (Jerry) Sackett of Paw Paw, and Sharon (Dennis) Ouding of Comstock. Also surviving are three daughters, 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, devoted wife Mary in 2014, a brother Leslie in 2012 and his daughter Karen in 1979. Services will be held at the Centreville SDA Church 23683 M-86, Centreville, Michigan. (269) 467-6164 on Sunday, April 19 at 11:00 am with Pastor Terry Nelson officiating.
