Bryan Terrance-Jalon Burns was born on December 9, 1991, in Grand Rapids, MI to Carmela Delynn Berry and Bert Terrance Burns Jr. Bryan departed this life, unexpectedly, in the early hours of November 11, 2017. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Bert and Janice Burns, James Berry Jr. and uncle, Michael Berry. Bryan is survived by his parents: Carmela Berry, Terrance Burns and stepfather, Derrick Farr; grandmother, Doris Berry and grandfather, James Farabee; four brothers: Brandon (Shardae) Berry, Myles Burns, DeAndre Farr and Bryson Farr; four nephews: Khamari, Kylan, Carmelo, KaDon and niece, Journi, a special friend Mariah Powers as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bryan was an optimistic young man who made the most of life. He loved music and sports from birth. Bryan is a graduate of Kelloggsville, Class of 2010, where he was an excellent student athlete. His passionate for basketball earned him city-wide recognition, two varsity basketball letters and selection to several AAU teams. After high school graduation he attended Kentucky State University (KSU), where he met many friends and forged new relationships. After a year at KSU Bryan decided to move to Phoenix, Arizona, where he attended classes at Mesa Community College. During his time in Phoenix he discovered new passions as an entrepreneur. He developed a brand known as "Los Souls, Inc. (2016)". The expansion of this brand was thwarted due to his untimely call home. In his leisure he enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends. Bryan will be remembered for his bigger than life smile, a great sense of humor, freedom of spirit. He is a beloved son, brother, grandson, and family member who will be missed. Rest in peace beloved.
