Bruce Eston Cleveland Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 26, 2026.
Bruce was born June 13, 1939, in Muskegon, Michigan to Bruce Eston Cleveland Sr. and Ruth (Chapin) Cleveland. He grew up in Spring Lake, Michigan and was stricken with polio while in the first grade which required a year to fully recover.
Bruce graduated from Grand Haven High School, where he played golf and the saxophone in band and went on to attend Michigan State University to study business. He excelled in sailing, waterskiing and photography and was an avid outdoorsman. He worked for Miller Chevrolet and then for Security First/Old Kent Bank. Bruce was a Spring Lake building inspector for many years, a realtor, and a member of the local Rotary Club. He married Amy Gajdos in 1966 and passed away 4 days before their 60th anniversary. Bruce also worked as a charter captain on Lake Michigan aboard his boat the “Love It” for over 30 years.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Sanders Cleveland.
He is survived by his wife Amy Lee Cleveland and his 4 children, Christine (Michael) Tabaczka, Amy Jo (William) Phillips, Brian Cleveland, Jennifer (Joseph) Delfgauw, his sister Judy Klos, his brother William (Kathy) Cleveland and sister-in-law Judy Marecek. Bruce and Amy have 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. His family would like to extend a special thank you to the excellent staff at Medilodge of Zeeland where he received wonderful care for the past year.
