IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brian Cameron
Vilcans
February 11, 1978 – March 16, 2020
Brian Vilcans, age 42, peacefully passed away on March 16, 2020 after an extended illness. Born to Uldis and Venessa (Mitchell) Vilcans on February 11, 1978 in Grand Rapids, he was the youngest of their three children. Brian's smart, kind soul was always evident to those who knew him best. His greatest joy was spending time with his two children, Nicholaus and Brianna. Brian enjoyed working with computers and gaming and especially liked following WWE wrestling. Brian was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, sisters Brenda (Jun) Pangilinan and Cynthia (Robert) Ruiter and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Brenda and Cynthia would like to thank everyone (and there were many) who did anything to help Brian, especially during the last couple of years. Special thanks go to the doctors and staff at St. Mary's and University of Michigan, the staff of Community Rebuilders, Jordan and the staff at Davita, and Hannah and the staff and residents at Oak Park who checked in to make sure all was well. It was Brian's wish that things be kept as simple as possible. Cremation has taken place with his ashes to be spread in Florida at a later date. A celebration of life event will also be held at a later date to be announced. Finally, a few words from Brian himself... "I want to thank anyone and everyone who ever did anything, big or little, to help me. I personally tried to tell as many of you as possible, but if I missed you please know that I truly appreciated and was extremely grateful for what you did for me. My sincerest apologies to my doctors for all the times I was stubborn, and to those whom I might have hurt in any way. To my kids and my nieces and nephews, I love you, am proud of your accomplishments and will be with you always. And to my doctors at U-M... Go Green!"
