Brenda Bowers passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, at Rose Arbor Place in Kalamazoo. Brenda was born in Kalamazoo; the daughter of Mabel (Mona) Rendal and stepfather Walt Rendal and had lived in Gobles, Allegan and Plainwell for the majority of her life.

She worked as a book binder for Kalamazoo Public Library and Ihling Brothers Everard Company in Kalamazoo and later worked for Perrigo Co., where she retired. She was an avid bowler and golfer, who loved gardening, crafts, and needle point. One of her greatest joys was her cats.

Surviving are two sons Robert Kirk/Jennifer Kirk of Portage and Brian Kirk of Plainwell, 3 grandsons, and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother Mona in 2015, stepfather Walt in 1983, brother William in 1981 and brother Michael in 1995 and one grandson in 2024. Following her wishes cremation has taken place. No services have been scheduled.
