February 18, 2014 LEE, BOONG SUNG Boong Sung Lee, age 58, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Hyong Sun Lee and sons Han Jew Lee and Han Young Lee. Boong was known for his passion of family, life, business ventures, and being a friend to many. He enjoyed playing golf, singing karaoke, and watching his beloved Detroit Tigers. Known as "Mr. Lee" or "Pops" to many, he often was personally involved with the lives of several people from his places of business. Most known for owning and operating Rau's Food and Beverage as well as My Place Lounge, he has touched the lives of many people. Boong loved his family more than life itself and dedicated all his efforts to provide a good life for his two sons and loving wife. Boong was a man of faith and loved God. Boong was a very joyful man, prayed continuously, and gave thanks to God in all circumstances and his happy nature and faith influenced the lives of many people, especially the lives of his family. His smile and laughter will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at OField Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE, Kentwood, with Pastor Moses Chung officiating. Relatives and friends may visit the family on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
