Obituary

Bo Bradley Wallace, 45, passed away on October 16, 2026, after a seven-year battle with cancer. Born prematurely on April 15, 1981, in Midland, Michigan, Bo came into this world a fighter—and he remained one until the very end.

Bo was raised in Midland and graduated from Dow High School in 1999. He attended Western Michigan University, where he met Erin in 2003. After their first meeting, Bo told friends he would marry her. In 2007, they did just that and began building the family that became the center of his world.

Above all, Bo was a devoted husband and father. His two boys, Liam, 17, and Brooks, 13, were his greatest joy. He was a hands-on dad who loved playing basketball with them in the driveway, getting lost in their world, and watching them grow. He was incredibly proud of the young men they were becoming.

Bo was a private person, but once he let you in, he loved you fiercely. He was passionate, stubborn, loyal, creative, and strong. When Bo loved someone or something, you could feel it.

Bo loved to laugh, especially at a good joke, stories from the past, and Fail Army reels. He loved to cook and found great joy in having the people he loved gathered around good food. His musical tastes ranged from blues to hip hop, reggae to country—he loved it all.

Bo was a talented artist who could freehand almost anything. He loved painting and working with different mediums, often recreating Northern Michigan landscapes, beaches, sunsets, and landmarks.

His love of the outdoors began as a boy, fishing on Sanford Lake and duck hunting with his dad. That love stayed with him throughout his life. He treasured hunting, fishing, and time in the woods, often saying that waking up with the woods was the best feeling. Northern Michigan, especially Glen Arbor and the Bay Harbor area, held a special place in his heart. He loved Lake Michigan, the beach, and sunsets.

Bo's greatest happiness was having his family around him—music playing, everyone outside together, preferably on a beach with a sunset over the water or around a bonfire. Those who knew and loved him will carry that image of him forward, along with his laughter, his creativity, his stubborn spirit, and the fierce love he gave so freely to his family.

In 2019, Bo was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. For seven years, he fought with remarkable determination and a stubborn desire to live. He was stoic in his fight and never wanted others to feel sorry for him. He simply kept going, living his life and loving his family.

Bo is survived by his wife, Erin; his sons, Liam and Brooks; his mother, Kellie Johnson, and stepfather, Mark Johnson; his father, Scott Wallace, and stepmother, Carol Wallace; his sister, Ali Ellis and her husband, Aaron Ellis; his parents-in-law, Tom and Kim Norton; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kurt and Amy Ellis; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bo was born a fighter, and he lived his life with that same determination. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and carried with us in all the places and moments he loved most.
