Betty Lou (Klauka) Storey, 88, formerly of Grand Blanc, Michigan, passed away peacefully Monday, May 1, 2023 in Lowell, Michigan. Betty Lou was born in Brown City, Michigan on January 26, 1935 to Edward and Nellie (Reid) Klauka. She grew up helping her dad on the farm by driving the tractor and grooming the work horses. Betty Lou graduated from North Branch High School in 1953 and then went on to complete comptometer training in Flint, Michigan. Betty Lou and Donald "Don" Storey were married in North Branch, Michigan on May 12, 1956. Don preceded her in death December 25, 2022. Betty Lou was employed by General Motors for 30 years. She held various positions within the Financial Department. She was a respected, dedicated and loyal employee. Betty Lou's favorite past times were reading, caring for her plants and flowers, RV camping with Don in Northern Michigan and spending time with her family. Betty Lou's grandchildren had a special place in her heart, and they brought her great joy. Betty Lou was a faithful member of South Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan. She served in many of the ministries and activities. Betty Lou was an active and devoted member for over 60 years. Betty Lou is survived by her children: Greg & Linda Storey of Caledonia, Tricia & Sam Woolpert of Grand Rapids; Grandchildren: Scott Storey, Brittany Storey, Jessica & Colin Jenks and Victoria Woolpert; Great Granddaughter: Campbell Jenks; Sister: Mona Kaye Redmond; Nieces and Nephews. Betty Lou will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Betty Lou's family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by Maple Ridge Manor and Careline Health Group. A family graveside committal service will be held at Greenwood, Cemetery in North Branch, Michigan at a later date.
