Obituary

Born January 2, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Zelma Bird and Harold Miller. She graduated from Shortridge High School in 1939, and graduated with a BS degree from Butler University in 1943, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She then worked in the research lab at EliLillly. Betty married George Wilbur Little in 1943. They were married for 50 years before she was widowed in 1993. She is survived by their children; Stephen Little (Susan), Bruce Little (Jennifer), Diane Pfent (Greg); three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. In 1998 she married Dr. M. Richard Harding until he passed away in 2005. Betty is survived by his daughter, Judith Zell, and granddaughter, Maureen Ram. She was a member of Roberts Park United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, IN since 1948. She was a president of Chapter BK of PEO, and Hamilton County Art Association. She was a member of Indianapolis Art Center for 50 years and an associate member of Indiana Artists. Her passion was art, she was an accomplished artist. She spent her life in Indianapolis, IN until 2008, when she moved to Clark Retirement Community in Grand Rapids, MI to be near her daughter. A memorial service to be held Saturday, January 30th at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Clark Community, 1551 Franklin Street SE. Reception following. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Clark Retirement Community or Emmanuel Hospice.
